Saturday 22nd July Dance Display at Food Feast South East Fair:

We have been asked if we can dance at the Food Feast South East Fair on Saturday 22nd July 2017 in aid of St Wilfred’s Hospice. Time of display 10:00 am. Venue is Nash Street Farm near Hailsham, BN27 4AB.The fair is a multicultural food experience with a fun fair plus Vintage, Craft and Artisan stands. Please see their web site:   Free entry to the fair for all dancers and I have arranged for cold drinks and sandwiches to be provided for those taking part. It will be a great, and fun, day out.  One problem is that we will be dancing on grass but many of us have done this many times before and I will choose dances accordingly.  Please ask me if you have any questions.  All levels of dancers will be catered for.

BWDA Line Dance Medals:

Quite a few dancers are interested in taking their medals for line dancing and I have been looking into it for them. Three dances have to be performed at Bronze & Silver level both of which can be taken on the same day. Luckily the dances chosen are negotiated between myself and the BWDA one of which has to be a waltz. Please let me know if you are interested in this. Dates have yet to be decided.

Line Dance Weekend Bournemouth 13-15th April 2018:

It is with regret that we have to advise that our weekend that was scheduled to take place at The Hotel Piccadilly, Bournemouth from 25th to 27 August 2017 has had to be cancelled due to the fact that the hotel has been sold. We have been frantically trying to re-arrange and now have another replacement weekend in place. Date 13th to 15th April 2018 with Billy Curtis, Tina Argyle and Steve Lovett of Rancher at The Durley Dean Hotel in Bournemouth.  Cost is £159-00 with the deposit of £25-00 being the same. Could those of you who have already booked for the 2017 weekend please advise if you would like us to just transfer your booking across to the April 2018 one? Flyers are not available for the new date.  Please note that all levels of dancers are catered for at line dance weekends so you are all welcome

Parking at Tanbridge House School :

I received the following from the lettings officer at Tanbridge House School which I’m passing on to my dancers as requested. “It has been brought to my attention that some members of clubs that use the halls in the evenings are not parking considerately. I am therefore contacting all our hirers to ask if they can please make sure that all their members park within the marked bays.  Unfortunately some appear to be parking across 2 spaces which makes parking difficult for other hirers on site. This is especially important for those people parking or waiting to pick up behind the Sports Hall. Thank you for your continued cooperation.”

Best wishes

Lisa (BA Degree (WITS), HED (Postgraduate) (UNISA), BWDA Qualified Dance Instructor) and Kevin
