Lisa Bessinger Stevens, BA Degree, HED (Postgraduate),  BWDA Qualified Line Dance Instructor, has been line dancing for approximately twenty years and teaching for over ten of these. She is a qualified school teacher and has written numerous articles for Scholastic Publishers for their Child Education Magazine. She was also commissioned to write two educational teaching resource books for the said Publishing house.  Following the launch of her father’s multi international award winning invention, the Weed Thrasher, her career changed direction and her writing and school teaching took a back seat.  However, having always enjoyed line dancing, and it being an  evening hobby, she decided to start her own club "Flying High Line Dancers" as it fitted in well with what she was doing during the day. Realising the importance of being a qualified dance instructor she  enrolled for the BWDA line dance instructor course which she subsequently passed with distinction.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with your requirements and hopefully we will see you at one of our classes or other events in the near future.
Her mum and dad were her helpers for many years in the early days until sadly her dad’s health took a turn for the worse. The club has grown over the years and is continuing to do so. Lisa has recently got married and her husband, Kevin Stevens, is also an avid line dancer having danced for over 20 years.  He has a full day time job working for RSA as a Financial Crime Analyst and he and Lisa now run Flying High Line Dancers as a team. Both have their Bronze, Silver and Gold BWDA line dancing medals.

The club is expanding more since Kevin and Lisa married and they have now branched out in other areas. This means that in addition to weekly classes they also offer corporate team building events, country and western themes parties, hen parties, wedding dances, school and care home bookings etc.

They also do regular charity  dance displays with the most recent one being at the AmeriCARna in Horsham town centre on 24th September 2017.
